About the job
Dionamix Scientific Inc, designs and manufactures high performance liquid chromatography analytical instruments, is need of a recent graduate mechanical engineer looking for long term growth opportunities in a high technology life sciences industry. The ideal candidate should posses strong desire to learn, good communication skills and an interest in precision high pressure electro-mechanical pumping systems. The junior engineer will report directly to VP of engineering and work closely with electrical and software engineers delivering short term product improvements, long term development of new product designs and executing effective quality assurance programs. This full time position is located in Richmond BC, and is being offered in collaboration and in accordance with Canada Government IRAP program to develop local Canadian youth talent experience. This program has been designed by Canada Government for Canadian or Canada permanent resident graduates from Canadian Institutions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required, recent graduate (new or within past 1-2 years)
Experience with or demonstrated understanding of reciprocating pump technologies
High pressure low flow instrumentation pumps preferred
Electromechanical motor drive principles and Microfluidic technologies is a plus
Ability to design and execute quick turn experiments and prototyping
Mechanical QC & QA procedures and standards
Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and drafting procedures
CNC machining process verification
Critical thinker and independent work skills strongly desired
