Within the Power Electronics Group, the Mechanical Engineering student will be primarily responsible for providing conceptual and technical documentation support to the mechanical team on current projects, depending on the stage reached, i.e. design, documentation and production support. He/she will work in a multidisciplinary environment, notably with the Electrical/Application, Purchasing, Production and Quality teams. He/she will become familiar with the processes in place to ensure the efficiency and quality of deliverables.

Your responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.
Work on the design of power electronics cabinets, possibly performing engineering calculations at the mechanical level.
Participate in the standardization of new products.
Drawings of parts and 3D assembly.
Assist in the design of ongoing projects with team members.

Your background
University student in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or manufacturing and equipment engineering, in 2nd or 3rd year of internship.
Bilingualism – French and English
Computer knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Word)
Essential: practical experience in 3D design (ideally SolidEdge, Solidworks)
Essential: practical experience in 2D (Autocad)
Asset: Experience in mechanical design, sheet metal, cabinwork, ventilation
Asset: Experience with electronic components and assembly shop
Asset: In process of obtaining OIQ registration
